Job summary

ServingSchools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. You will provide quality services, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with general education staff to implement student programs including specialized instruction and tutorial support.

You will participate in planning and coordinating services with a team, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and maintaining

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/ district regulations.
Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred).
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred).
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching (preferred).
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
Complies with relevant professional standards of practice.
Current CPR if applicable.
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
Current Health certificate (per contract/state regulation).
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

The Special Education Teacher provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
Commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
