Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a School Director to lead a special education program, collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized services, and monitor student progress and behavior across settings.

You will engage with parents and administrators, oversee budget, ensure IEP compliance, and drive PBIS initiatives while maintaining records and coordinating daily school operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required for leadership role in special education
• Administration credential preferred
• Extensive experience with students with disabilities strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are followed
• Developing and tracking benchmarks for measuring institutional success
• Helping teachers maximize their teaching potential
• Meeting and listening to concerns of students on a regular basis
• Encouraging, guiding and assisting student leaders and teachers
• Meeting with parents and administrators on a regular basis for problem resolution
• Enforcing discipline when necessary
• Provide an atmosphere free of bias to maximize student potential
• Organize and facilitate IEP meetings with teachers, parents and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate documentation of special education services and progress reports
• Lead PBIS program development and implementation
• Collaborate with finance to prepare financial reports and forecasts

Education

Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Social or Behavior Sciences, or a related field required
