Job summary

Oxnard School District seeks paraprofessionals to support students with disabilities, reinforce lessons, and assist with health and personal care needs. You will work under the supervision of a teacher and help implement IEP goals in the classroom and on the bus as needed.

Responsibilities include one-on-one support, small group instruction, and data recording of student performance. Familiarity with CPR/First Aid is expected, and bilingual skills may be required for some positions.

Qualifications

• Support for students with special needs as part of an instructional team.
• Ability to reinforce lessons and follow IEP goals and protocols.
• May assist in personal hygiene and health-related tasks.
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce instruction for individuals or small groups.
• Follow treatment plans and protocols under teacher direction.
• Assist students with academic skills in core subjects.
• Provide personal care and health-related assistance as needed.
• Observe and document student behavior and progress for the teacher.
• Help transport students to and from school activities.
