Job summary

North Saint Paul Maplewood & Oakdale School District 622 is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator for the Webster Education Center. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30-2:30 (32.5 hours per week) with start ASAP and a pay rate of $24.54 per hour.

Benefits are in accordance with the labor agreement covering paraeducators. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with additional college credits or a ParaEducator test, along with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and relevant degree/credits
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and restrain students in emergencies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Completion of required training for the position

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instruction of students by providing support and practical training
• Assist teacher with adapting/modifying curriculum and preparing class schedules
• Organize learning materials and assist with classroom activities
• Support educational staff to meet student needs including behavior management and safety
• Monitor student progress and document IEP-related data
• Maintain confidentiality of students and the educational setting
• Perform other related duties as assigned
