Job summary

North Saint Paul Maplewood & Oakdale School District 622 in Richardson, TX is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 32.5 hours per week on student contact days. Start date ASAP.

Pay: $24.54 per hour. Benefits are in accordance with the labor agreement covering Paraeducators. Responsibilities include assisting instruction, implementing plans, preparing schedules and materials, supervising activities, documenting progress, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required with one of: AA/AS/AAS or 60 credits toward a bachelor's degree or passing ParaEducator test.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and restrain students in emergencies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.
Completion of any required training for the position.

Responsibilities

Assist in instruction by supporting students across subjects.
Support the teacher by implementing instructional plans and adapting curriculum as directed.
Prepare class schedules and organize learning materials; assist with classroom activities.
Monitor student progress, document IEP data, and maintain confidentiality.
