Job summary

Kerrville ISD is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to assist students with disabilities, both in and out of the classroom. You will support implementation of IEPs, help with self-help and behavioral strategies, and work under teacher supervision to facilitate instructional activities.

Responsibilities include mobility support, safety management, and daily coordination to meet individual student needs. This role emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork within the school environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transfers to/from wheelchairs and with basic personal care.
• Support instruction and self-help activities under teacher direction.
• Help monitor and manage student behavior and safety.
• Adapt interactions for medical, physical, or emotional needs.
• Help students develop motor skills through guided exercises.
• Assist students during lunch, bus, and playground activities.
• Keep teacher informed about student needs.
