Job summary

CBH Care in Rutherford, NJ, is hiring a Full-Time Social Service Counselor to provide supervision, case management, and support to consumers on the caseload.

You will assist with daily living skills, budgeting, and benefits linkage; provide medication education; document in electronic records; and follow driving policies to transport clients.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:00pm, with competitive pay and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field.
• BA in an unrelated field with two years of previous experience.
• AA in a related field with two years of previous experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous supervision and case management services to assigned consumers on caseload
• Assists consumers with activities of daily living skills, budgeting, and linkage to applicable benefits
• Provides consumers with medication education and observes their self-administration of medication
• Must adhere to the agency’s driving policy of transporting consumers in a safe and responsible manner
• Provides input to treatment and service plans as well as their implementation
• Must be able to document all relevant information to the consumers' electronic chart records

Education

BSW in social work

BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field

BA in unrelated field with two years experience

AA in related field with two years experience
