Job summary

CBH Care in Emerson, New Jersey seeks a Full-Time Social Service Counselor Overnight to provide supervision, case management, and support to individuals on caseload. The role includes daily living skills coaching, benefit linkage, and medication education, with attention to safety and documentation.

You will collaborate on treatment plans, document in electronic chart records, and participate in clinical supervision opportunities within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field
• BA in an unrelated field with two years of previous experience
• AA in a related field with two years of previous experience
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous supervision and case management services to assigned consumers on caseload
• Assists consumers with their activities of daily living skills, budgeting, and linkage to applicable benefits
• Provides consumers with medication education and observes their self-administration of medication
• Must adhere to the agency’s driving policy of transporting consumers in a safe and responsible manner
• Provides input to treatment and service plans as well as their implementation
• Must be able to document all relevant information to the consumers' electronic chart records

Education

BSW in social work, BA/BS in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field
