Job summary

Old National Trail Special Services Cooperative in Indiana seeks a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support the Speech Language Pathologist and the Teacher for Deaf/Hard of Hearing. The SLPA will assist with screenings, provide services to students with speech/language delays, and work under supervision to address communication needs.

You will collaborate with supervisors and school personnel, track attendance and progress toward goals, and help maintain data.

Qualifications

• Assist supervisor in addressing communication needs by providing speech/language services.
• Support hearing screenings and progress monitoring.
• Follow Individual Education Plans and collaborate with school staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in duties including hearing screenings for multiple grades.
• Work closely with supervisors and follow IEPs.
• Communicate progress and needs of students with supervisors.
• Work directly with students on speech and language needs.
• Support students who are deaf/hard of hearing as assigned.
• Track attendance of therapy sessions and progress toward annual goals, and assist data tracking.
• Collaborate with assigned supervisor(s) and school personnel.
• Report Medicaid for billing (as appropriate) and submit timely.
