School City of Hammond seeks an SLPA to support speech-language pathology services district-wide. The role involves planning and delivering language and speech interventions under supervision, maintaining student records, and contributing to IEP development and related service planning.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate degree in an SLPA program, with Indiana licensure and registration. Experience with special education procedures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in SLPA program required.
• Bachelor's degree in SLP or related field preferred with internship.
• Holds and maintains Indiana licensure and license registration.
• Knowledge of special education laws and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Plan, schedule and conduct treatment programs for language/speech needs under licensed SLP.
• Maintain student records as required by law and policies.
• Use research to identify effective techniques for student needs.
• Contribute to IEP development with the TOR for related services.
• Provide strategies to generalize learned skills for independence.
• Participate in case conferences to review progress and diagnostic info.
• Utilize assistive technology with students and coordinate with staff.
• Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
