Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support students with communication needs in collaboration with the supervising SLP. You will assist in evaluation, intervention, and the implementation of therapy plans in a school setting.

Responsibilities include data collection for IEP goals, monitoring AAC tools, and participating in multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for students’ communication needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid licensure as an Assistant in Speech-Language Pathology (TDLR).
• Current CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation and intervention: collaborate with the supervising SLP to support assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Implement therapy plans designed by the SLP to meet students’ individualized needs.
• Monitor communication tools: assist in setup, use, and maintenance of AAC devices.
• Data collection and reporting: record and document student progress, observations, and outcomes for IEP goals.
• Collaborative support: participate in multidisciplinary meetings and advocate for students’ communication needs.
