Job summary

City Care Inc. is seeking a compassionate Pet Kennel Advocate to join our Tulsa shelter team. The role centers on building trust with guests and their pets, coordinating care, maintaining kennel areas, and supporting shelter operations with empathy and professionalism.

Evening and overnight shifts are available. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, and prior shelter or animal-care experience is preferred. Competitive hourly pay starting at $17 with opportunities to grow.

• Ability to multitask and coordinate shelter operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the mission, vision and values of City Care.
• Build positive relationships with shelter guests and their pets.
• Provide Advocate I support to shelter guests, including daily check-ins/outs and housing-services support.
• Serve as primary staff contact for pet-related questions and needs.
• Coordinate pet-related services including feeding, veterinary needs and supplies.
• Oversee kennel cleaning, sanitation and organization.
• Maintain records related to pets and intake information.
• Monitor inventory of pet supplies and assist with ordering/donations.
• Track basic pet-service data to understand needs and improve services.
