Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting an experienced SEND Lecturer for a full-time, temporary role in North London. The successful candidate will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for learners with SEND, including those with PMLD, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support EHCP outcomes.

The position requires relevant SEND teaching experience and a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one). An Enhanced DBS is required. Start date is immediate, with pay up to £36 per hour.

Qualifications

Experience teaching learners with SEND, ideally in a further education setting.
A teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards one.
An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for learners with high needs and PMLD.
Adapt activities, resources and communication approaches to each learner's needs, including sensory approaches where appropriate.
Support learners to develop communication, independence, confidence and life skills.
Work with support staff, therapists, families and other professionals to help learners achieve their EHCP outcomes.
Assess and record progress, contribute to reviews, and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
