Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced English Teacher with SEN and SEMH expertise to join a close-knit SEN school in Epping. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils aged 11-18 with diverse additional needs, helping them build confidence and reach their potential.

This rewarding role offers immediate interviews, long-term placements with the potential to become permanent, and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• PGCE or Equivalent training
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)
• Strong classroom management
• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.
