Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to screen, evaluate, diagnose, and remediate communication disorders in students from birth to 21 years. You will collaborate with teachers and parents, develop goals, and participate in IEP/IFSP planning and meetings.

Responsibilities include preparing concise clinical reports, maintaining longitudinal records, and working within a school-based team to support student education.

Qualifications

• Masters or equivalency in speech-language pathology with expertise in evaluation and therapy for pediatric populations.
• Experience collaborating with parents and school professionals; ability to develop goals and IEPs/IFSPs.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to produce concise clinical reports.
• MD licensing requirements: DHMH license or MSDE certification; CCC desirable or CFY eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, diagnose, and remediate communication disorders from birth to 21 years.
• Develop and implement goals and objectives for each student.
• Prepare and maintain IEPs/IFSPs and clinical reports.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and IEP teams.
• Attend school meetings, programs and activities outside the instructional day as mandated.
