Job summary

Township High School District 214 is seeking a Food Service Manager Supervisor Grade 1 for Prospect High School. You will oversee food production, sanitation, and staff, ensuring meals are prepared within budget and in compliance with HACCP, Illinois State and local health rules.

As a working manager, you will train, supervise and schedule staff, control costs, maintain records, and coordinate catering and vending programs while promoting a positive image of the cafeteria to students and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years management experience in a large-scale food service operation.
• Preferred degree in dietetics, hospitality or culinary management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid sanitation license.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, direct, motivate, discipline and evaluate staff.
• Control food, labor and other costs within budgets.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per HACCP, state and local health rules.
• Prepare production and work rotation schedules.
• Maintain records including P&L, inventories, and orders.
• Promote positive relations with students and staff and coordinate events.
