Hebron Christian Academy in Georgia seeks a Substitute School Nurse to provide nursing services for students of all ages under the supervision of the school administration and in collaboration with the existing school nurse. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, current Georgia nursing license, CPR certification, and at least 2 years’ experience in pediatrics, ER, or urgent care preferred.

Non-exempt, on-site position supporting health and safety across school levels.

Formación

• Demonstrate good nursing judgment and apply the nursing process.
• Demonstrate basic clerical skills including filing and documentation.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with positive interpersonal skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information.

Responsabilidades

• Incorporate the nursing process in evaluating and treating students.
• Follow clinical procedures for handling student health issues.
• Assist students with health, hygiene, and personal needs.
• Assist with routine health screenings.
• Administer medications and perform health procedures as trained.
• Make referrals to school counselor or administration as appropriate.
• Notify administration and contact parents in emergencies.
• Document all care using the Magnus Health system.
• Communicate with students, parents, staff and agencies while keeping information confidential.
• Keep the clinic clean and well organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs at times.
