Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent licensure for NC school library media coordinator.
• Demonstrated knowledge of library media terminology and information resources.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Organize library facilities and resources to maximize access and support school goals.
• Design and implement long-range plans balancing teaching, technology, collaboration, collection development, and program management.
• Assess learning needs and plan with teachers to support instruction.
• Instruct students and staff in using information and resources effectively; promote reading and lifelong learning.
• Lead collaboration to select and evaluate resources addressing curricular needs.
