Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Massachusetts DESE certification/licensure as a School Counselor.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; exceptional organizational and caseload management capabilities.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student well-being, with an ability to build trusting relationships with a diverse student body.
• Experience applying Evidence-Based School Counseling practices, SEL frameworks, and trauma-informed counseling techniques.
• Familiarity with college and career readiness planning tools for early secondary students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling addressing academic, personal, social, and emotional needs.
• Deliver academic and career counseling, collaborating with leadership and student support teams to develop graduation and developmental pathways.
• Support students through junior to senior transition planning.
• Respond to student crises and provide internal or external referrals when needed.
• Deliver a proactive counseling curriculum focusing on academic/technical, career readiness, and personal/social development.
