Job summary

Esd113 is seeking a school counselor to support student success at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Under moderate supervision, you will promote academic and personal/social development through a comprehensive counseling program and preventive services.

Responsibilities include using data to design programs, counseling individuals or groups, collaborating with parents, teachers, and outside agencies, and maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in school counseling or equivalent with licensure.
• Completion of school counseling internship.
• Valid NC school counseling certification or ability to obtain.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws and policies.
• Design and communicate a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Counsel students individually or in small groups for identified needs.
• Monitor student academic performance and intervene when needed.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and outside agencies to support the whole child.
• Attend professional development and maintain safety procedures.
