Job summary

Communities In Schools of Memphis is seeking a Student Support Specialist to coordinate school-wide services and support at the Memphis, TN site. You will lead needs assessments, develop and execute support plans, and build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and partners to promote student success.

Responsibilities include conducting SEL assessments, delivering targeted supports, and reporting program outcomes to leadership.

Qualifications

• Education/Prior Experience: Degree in Social Work, Counseling/Psychology, Youth Development or Education with preference for Masters in Social Work or Counseling/Psychology.
• Related work or volunteer experience in education, social services, mental health or related field is desirable.
• Knowledge of CIS philosophy, process, history and network is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate school-wide services to address identified needs and provide caseload support.
• Lead needs assessment using data sources, surveys, and stakeholder input.
• Develop and implement a school support plan with measurable objectives.
• Build relationships with students, parents, staff and community partners.
• Conduct SEL assessments and groups for case managed students.
• Regularly report outcomes to school and affiliate leadership.
