Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in an educational setting near Ithaca, NY. This contract role involves a manageable caseload of about 28 students, mainly elementary, with opportunities to assist high schoolers and flexible scheduling aligned with the academic calendar.

You will conduct assessments, develop therapy plans, deliver interventions, collaborate with educators and families, participate in IEP meetings, and communicate with parents.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state SLP license (or eligibility).
• Prefer experience working with school-aged children.
• Effective communicator and enthusiastic team player.
• Understanding of IEP frameworks and special education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized therapy plans based on student needs.
• Deliver targeted speech and language interventions, adapting as progress is made.
• Partner with educators and support staff to implement accommodations and ensure inclusive learning.
• Monitor student achievement and adjust strategies to maximize growth.
• Take an active role in IEP meetings, contributing expertise for student goal setting.
• Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers, building a supportive team around each student.
