Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide services to students in educational settings under their IEP/ISP guidelines.

You will assist with fine motor activities, monitor progress, and support the implementation of therapy goals in the classroom. Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy assistant as required by state and contract.
• NBCOT Certification and/or valid state certification as specified in the contract.
• Ability to work independently with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students to facilitate fine motor coordination based on IEP/ISP goals.
• Monitor student progress.
• Test/evaluate students to determine OT need when requested.
• Consult with teachers to integrate OT plans into classroom activities.
• Communicate with parents regularly about student progress and home activities.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
