Job summary

Clear Creek Amana Community School District is seeking an Accounting Manager - School Business Official (SBO) to support the district's financial operations. The SBO will report to the Executive Director of Finance/Board Secretary, overseeing general ledger, budgeting, grants, and compliance.

The role requires an associates degree in accounting/finance or related field, SBO certification or willingness to obtain within three years, and experience in K-12 district environments.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting/finance or business related field required.
• K-12 district experience preferred; SBO certification or willingness to obtain within 3 years.
• Knowledge of accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong computer skills: MS Office, accounting software and district systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and interpret district policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts; post journal entries.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and district budgets.
• Coordinate grant accounting and reporting; manage tax forms and vendor payments.
• Be cross-trained to support payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets.
