Job summary

NYCSBUS is seeking two Safety Supervisors to lead safety culture and operational excellence across its NYC depot network. This hands-on, on-site role is ideal for a proactive safety professional who values collaboration and community well-being.

You will train staff, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across multiple depots. Requirements include 5+ years in bus driver management or field supervision, 2+ years in safety compliance, and NY CDL B with endorsements or ability

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years in bus driver management and/or field supervision.
• At least 3 years of training bus drivers behind the wheel.
• At least 2 years of experience in safety compliance, preferably in school bus transport.
• DMV 19-A Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety Culture and train bus drivers, attendants, mechanics and others.
• Work with depot management to improve performance and safety culture.
• Identify pre- and post-trip inspection needs with Fleet Maintenance.
• Evaluate drivers by riding along routes and providing guidance.
• Develop and review safety data and present findings to leadership.
• Deliver safety trainings including CPR, first aid and OSHA topics.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective action.
• Ensure depots comply with safety standards and licensing.
• Support depots and bus operations to deliver services.
