Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (CFMH Flex) in Rocky Mount, VA. The role covers general and ICU respiratory care, including assessment, planning and documentation, with patient/family education and performance improvement participation.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in respiratory therapy, VA licensure as an RCP, and NBRC RRT credential, with strong communication and teamwork skills to support a dynamic care team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and/or CoARC-approved certification in respiratory therapy.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by VA State Board of Medicine; RRT by NBRC.
• Must have effective communication and teamwork skills; orientation and competency validation required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures in general and ICU areas, or home care environments.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and develop interdisciplinary care plans.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and educate patients and staff.
