The City of Gainesville is seeking an experienced Revenue and Receivables position to support basic to semi-complex accounting tasks within the Financial Services department. This role emphasizes accurate data handling, billing, and customer account maintenance.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to interact with customers professionally. The position includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of revenue/accounting experience.
• AA degree with at least 12 semester hours of accounting can substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Typing speed may be required.

Responsabilités

• Verifies, inputs, and retrieves basic and semi-complex financial data transactions.
• Classifies records and summarizes financial data for reporting.
• Calculates and issues bills, invoices, and statements.
• Reviews general ledger entries and customer invoices in the ERP.
• Maintains taxpayer and department financial records.
• Works with customers to resolve billing issues and adjust accounts.
