Job summary

Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care and involves duties as assigned.

Education must be a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program graduate with a current RCP license and NBRC RRT credential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
