Sturgis Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to initiate the mortgage process for clients purchasing or refinancing real estate. You will interview applicants, explain loan programs, gather financials and perform early analyses to determine eligibility.

You will maintain communication with borrowers, realtors and settlement providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lending rules throughout the process through closing.

• Ability to research and make mortgage recommendations based on borrower data.
• Collaborate with loan processors, underwriters, and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Meet with potential clients to evaluate financial background and homeownership goals.
• Develop relationships with realtors and builders to promote residential mortgages.
• Gather documents to complete mortgage applications and verify details.
• Resolve application issues and keep applicants informed throughout.
• Disclose applicable lending rules and provide required documentation on time.
• Review files to reconcile income, appraisal, credit history and terms; prepare worksheets.
• Assist with closing and explain charges to buyers, sellers and agents.
• Cross-sell bank services to support business development.
