Levering Regional Health Care Center is seeking a Program Director to lead our substance use disorder recovery program in Hannibal, MO. This role oversees daily operations, staff development, policy implementation, and quality assurance to deliver compassionate, compliant care.

The ideal candidate drives continuous improvement, collaborates with clinical and leadership teams, and maintains a safe, recovery-focused environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, recovery services, healthcare, social services, or a related environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing employees and building effective teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems independently.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and operational leadership.
• Commitment to treating individuals in recovery with dignity and respect.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of daily program operations
• Supervise, support, and develop program staff
• Establish clear expectations and promote accountability across the team
• Coordinate with clinical and recovery-support staff to ensure continuity of care
• Help develop, implement, and maintain program policies and procedures
• Monitor program quality, documentation, compliance, and performance
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate program coverage
• Identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions
• Promote a safe, respectful, structured, and recovery-focused environment
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, referral sources, community partners, and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with organizational leadership on program goals and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable organizational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
• Support crisis management and problem-solving when needed
