Job summary

Salt Lake County seeks a Performance & Data Analyst to design and support data collection and analytics using county platforms. You will conduct quantitative and qualitative research while ensuring compliance with IT policies.

The role spans program administration, data governance, and contract management across divisions. You will help evaluate the Opioid Settlement Fund projects, develop metrics and visualizations, and collaborate with the OSF Project Manager to inform policy and budgeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information science, economics, sociology, business administration, public administration, public policy, or related field with four years of related experience.
• Background check via fingerprinting and RAP Back enrollment required.
• Experience in data analytics, reporting, and governance processes.
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain data products and dashboards.
• Strong communication and training skills for staff on data tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data products including reports and dashboards for internal and public reporting.
• Collaborate with IT to improve data solutions, tools, and reporting infrastructure.
• Collect, analyze, and report performance data to inform program decisions.
• Provide training and technical assistance on data tools and standards.
• Lead data-focused research and pilots to improve measurement and decision support.
