Job summary

WESTERVILLE in is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support the Staff Physical Therapist in resident care. The role involves providing treatment under supervision, documenting accurately, and maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment.

Knowledge of Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred; requires an Associate Degree from PTA program and state PTA license; CPR may be required. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to educate residents and families and

Qualifications

• Associate degree from PTA program required.
• Proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures, policies and manuals.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with facility, government, and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate with supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team about progress, goals and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of necessary durable medical equipment to aid independence.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information and company data.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehabilitation program development.
