Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Manager to lead project quality, timeliness, and safety while mentoring the team. This role also involves developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.

This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, with compensation determined by experience and location. Base pay varies by office location and includes eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction-related field.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects.
• Detail orientation sufficient to manage multiple project tasks.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and web applications skills.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects including subcontracts and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate estimates into the system.
• Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and provide financials to Accounting.
• Create monthly owner billings and handle contract management and buyouts.
• Oversee budget and select trades and suppliers.
• Lead Assistant PMs and Project Engineers and mentor career development.
• Approve timecards and provide feedback on performance.
• Serve as main owner contact and review owner agreement, resolving site concerns.
• Execute/Manage change orders and obtain approvals from owner or site reps.
• Maintain schedule and budget to completion with focus on quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
