Job summary

Granite Construction Company seeks an experienced on-site construction engineer to plan, develop, coordinate and manage engineering activities for varied projects. You will ensure quality and cost effectiveness while meeting contract and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining project schedules, providing technical construction planning support, and mentoring project staff to uphold company standards. A Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred; or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• 4+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Manage job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Develop and maintain project schedule to ensure work is completed on time and under budget.
• Manage project engineering assignments to ensure work is completed on time and under budget.
• Manage project engineering activities to ensure compliance with company, contract and schedule requirements.
• Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, interpretation of design, and constructability reviews to ensure successful job completion.
