Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Program Director for IDD Services to lead day-to-day operations of multiple community programs, oversee direct supports, person-centered planning, health care, advocacy, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years in Human Services, strong leadership and communication, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of 1–4 programs, including direct supports, planning, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
• Manage program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
• Oversee program planning; monitor service delivery to ensure engaging and relevant supports.
• Must be available on-call to support staff, cover shifts as needed.
