Job summary

The State of Hawaiʻi is seeking a qualified professional to contribute to the planning and coordination of programs and activities related to services for the developmentally disabled. The role includes program and operational studies to assist grant‑aided agencies in developing master plans and ensuring funds are used as intended.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and at least two and a half years of progressive professional experience in social work, public health, or related fields,

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Two and one-half years of progressively responsible professional experience in social work, public health, or other related fields with demonstrated knowledge of current social and economic conditions, community organizations and the services and/or programs they offer to the community.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the problems and needs of the developmentally disabled.
  • Ability to conduct studies and analyses of ongoing programs through active participation in planning, coordination and development of programs and/or program activities.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the planning and coordination of programs and activities concerned with services to the developmentally disabled.
  • Conducts program and operational studies and activities to assist grant aided agencies in developing programs for the development of the master plan.
  • Monitors grant aided agencies to insure activities and use of funds conform to project intent and requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
