Job summary

The ideal candidate should hold a Master's in Speech Therapy and have a valid Speech Therapy License. Clinical experience is preferred. Weekend work is occasional.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Therapy required.
• CCC-SLP certification is necessary.
• Clinical experience of 1 year is preferred.

BayCare Alliant Hospital is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologistto provide comprehensive speech therapy services to medically complex patients in a long term acute care LTACH) setting. This role focuses on evaluation and treatment of patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, requiring strong clinical judgment and collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team.

Acute Care Speech Therapist Pool Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.
