Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a registered nurse with at least two years of RN experience to support care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration. The role emphasizes safety, patient education, and efficient clinical workflow within a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities include triage, documentation in EPIC, coordination of tests and therapies, and close collaboration with the care team to optimize patient outcomes across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of RN work experience required.
• Previous Med/Surg, Medical / Surgical hospital RN experience is helpful and preferred for success in the role.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the healthcare, educational and psychosocial needs of the patient and family and involves them in establishing a treatment plan.
• Coordinates laboratory and diagnostic tests for disease management programs.
• Administers medications and vaccines under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
• Inserts, monitors, regulates and discontinues IVs as required by provider and per scope of practice.
• Maintains required documentation in EPIC for all disease management activities.
• Attends and participates in professional development programs and reviews literature to update care practices.
