Tallahassee State College is seeking a Pre-Release Employment Navigator to work within the Department of Corrections Region 2—Madison to Volusia. The role involves delivering employability and life skills training in cell-front and congregate settings, both in-person and virtually.

Responsibilities include facilitating assessments, documenting services, and coordinating with facility staff to connect pre-release job seekers with community employers.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in workforce development, social services or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Associate degree or high school diploma is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• In-person and virtual facilitation of inmate training relative to employability and life skills.
• Interpretation of assessments.
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered.
• Collaborating with facility staff to establish pre-release connections with community providers and employers.
• Assisting the facility with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development.
