Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to organize and conduct prescribed PT programs, restoring function after disease or injury and helping patients reach maximum performance within their capabilities.

You will evaluate, treat, and document patient progress, supervise assistants, and collaborate with physicians and families. Occasional travel and ongoing professional development are included.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in Ohio.
• CPR certification within 90 days.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet BVHS fleet policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Examines, evaluates, tests, and administers physical therapy treatments for neurological, musculoskeletal, and related conditions.
• Supervise and co-sign plans of care with the physical therapist assistant; ensure understanding of goals and plan changes.
• Communicates progress, problems, home programs, and related issues to patients, families, and referring professionals.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates therapeutic programs and services.
• Maintains accurate records for documentation, billing, appointments, and hours.
• Maintains equipment and supplies used in therapy.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and environmental standards; performs other duties as assigned.
• Continues professional growth through meetings, workshops, and education; supports clinical education of students.
• Delivers in-service presentations to the work group within 90 days of training.
• Attends staff and project meetings to communicate department updates.
• Mentors/teaches observation and clinical education students.
• Inpatient specifics: target unit per patient visit productivity and outpatient: participate in community activities and provider visits, pursuing productivity targets and managing cancellations.
