Job summary

BVHS seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to organize and conduct prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability after disease or injury. You will help patients reach maximum performance while integrating them back into society with appropriate capabilities.

The role includes supervising assistants, coordinating with patients and providers, documenting care, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in Ohio.
• CPR certification within 90 days.
• A valid driver's license is required; must meet fleet policy and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Examines, evaluates, tests, and administers PT treatments for patients with disabilities.
• Supervise and co-sign plans of care by PT assistant; ensure understanding of goals.
• Communicate progress and home programs to patient, family, and doctors.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates physical therapy programs and services.
• Maintains records for documentation, billing, and scheduling in compliance with regulations.
• Maintains equipment and supplies used in therapy.
• Practices safety, infection control, and related safety procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Pursues ongoing professional growth through meetings and reading.
• Presents information to work group within 90 days of training.
• Attends staff, project, and organizational update meetings.
• Mentors/clinically instructs observation and clinical education students.
• Inpatient: targets productivity; Outpatient: participates in community activities and provider visits.
