Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy professional to support the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring compliance with hospital, legal and accreditation standards for medication storage and preparation.

The role includes ensuring uninterrupted patient care 24/7, managing pharmacy staff, and overseeing unit dose operations in a busy hospital setting. A staff pharmacist function may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Experience with pharmacy computer systems required.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring compliance with legal, accreditation, and hospital standards for storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals.
• Ensures patient care remains uninterrupted 24/7.
• Manages pharmacy staff including scheduling and performance evaluation.
• Oversees daily unit dose operations and IV room/OR/ICU Satellite activities.
• Performs duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.
