American Family Fitness is seeking a motivated Personal Trainer in the Short Pump area of Richmond, VA. You will coach and empower members to reach fitness goals, maintaining at least 10 billable sessions weekly while recruiting and retaining clients.

Qualifications

Certification or related education in personal training
AFF‑recognized PT certification within 180 days of hire
CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire
Prior customer service or training experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional, punctual, and team‑oriented

Responsibilities

Maintain a minimum of 10 billable sessions per week
Recruit, onboard, and retain personal training clients
Conduct fitness assessments and consultations
Create safe, effective, and personalized training programs
Track client progress and maintain accurate documentation
Support club initiatives, meetings, and team goals
Demonstrate AFF’s mission, vision, and service standards
Follow all emergency and safety protocols
Input and manage your weekly work schedule in the club’s scheduling platform by established deadlines, maintaining full accountability for schedule accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to club staffing need
