Job summary

CARTI seeks a dedicated perioperative nurse to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-family centered care in the operating room and perioperative services. The role requires assessing patients, developing individualized plans, and coordinating care across teams to ensure correct site, correct procedure, and optimal outcomes.

You will administer medications, monitor physiological stability, and advocate for patient rights while maintaining privacy and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and current AR RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
• CNOR certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients at intervals as stated in policies and procedures.
• Develops and implements an individualized plan of care.
• Protects the patient from injury and ensures correct procedure site.
• Manages specimens and communicates patient status across care continuum.
• Administers medications safely and correctly.
• Maintains patient wound perfusion and balances across body systems.
• Protects patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and participates in quality improvement.
