Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Active license as Occupational Therapist (OT) in good standing (IDFPR).
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Design an appropriate plan of care that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Perform examinations and select reliable, valid methods relevant to the chief complaint and history.
• Document evaluations and plans of care according to department policy.
• Complete daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR; use therapy modalities as appropriate.
