Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers and uses body mechanics to reduce risk of injury.
• Designs an appropriate plan of care that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations and selects reliable methods relevant to chief complaint, screening results, and history.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care according to department policy, including goals and patient response to treatments.
