Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a licensed Master’s-level Clinical Therapist to join our Pediatric Eating Disorder Program (PHP). You will assess youth, provide individual, group, and family therapy, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds Michigan licensure, 1–2 years post-graduate experience with children or adolescents, and uses evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan licensure (or limited license) in Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling.
• 1-2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or behavioral health populations preferred.
• Ability to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Must maintain required certifications and ongoing continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and mental health evaluations.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Develop and implement treatment interventions using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Assist with crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate referrals and community resources as needed.
• Participate in treatment planning and team meetings.
• Support patients and families throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Provide direct clinical care to youth receiving partial hospitalization services.
• Monitor and communicate clinical changes to the treatment team.
• Participate in crisis management and de-escalation efforts.
• Support a recovery-focused, person-centered treatment environment.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions for eating disorder treatment.
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance during challenging situations.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
