Job summary

Children's Home Counseling Services seeks a compassionate Part-Time Site-Based Mental Health Clinician to join the Boise school-based clinical team. The role is primarily based at Horizon Elementary and Trail Wind Elementary, with other schools possible in the future.

Clinicians will provide on-site counseling, build relationships with students and families, and collaborate with school staff and CHCS Front Office. A flexible, school-needs-driven schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current clinical licensure or license eligibility in Idaho.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with schools, community partners, and agency staff.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of client needs, functioning, and behaviors through interviews, evaluations, and direct observation.
• Diagnose and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral health concerns, including anxiety, depression, addiction, developmental challenges, social and interpersonal difficulties, and behavioral concerns.
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, cost-effective client care while adhering to CHCS policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with agency staff, clinicians, and school administrators to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Monitor treatment progress and document outcomes as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and related records.
• Participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and multidisciplinary treatment planning activities.
• Provide consultation and professional collaboration with external providers involved in client care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups, educational workshops, and other clinical programming as assigned.
• Maintain licensure requirements and continuing education necessary to support professional competency and compliance.
• Adhere to NASW/ACA standards and agency policies.
