Job summary

The Park School of Baltimore is seeking a part-time Middle School Cross Country Coach (Head/Asst) for Fall 2026. The role involves about 10 hours per week coaching the team, promoting the school's progressive philosophy, and mentoring students through practices and meets.

Qualifications include high school or collegiate coaching experience, ability to motivate diverse abilities, and reliable attendance. This is a non-sectarian independent day school supporting a respectful, curious learning

Qualifications

• Coaching and running experience at the high school and/or collegiate level preferred.
• Ability to work with and motivate students of all skill levels.
• Punctual at practices and meets.
• Consistent attendance at practices and meets.
• Desire and ability to support the vision and goals of the program.

Responsibilities

• Supporting school policies, including sportsmanship and integrity.
• Maintaining the school's progressive philosophy throughout the season.
• Developing and teaching programmatic systems within the cross country program.
• Working with Athletic Trainer in case of injury.
• Planning and managing practices.
• Traveling to/from away games and off-campus practices.
• Serving as mentor and role model to current students.
• Attending preseason meetings and department orientations.
