Job summary

The Park School of Baltimore is seeking a part-time Middle School Coed Tennis Coach to lead practices and games for the middle school team. The position is approximately 10 hours per week and involves working with dedicated student-athletes in a values-driven, inclusive environment.

Coaches may serve as head and/or assistant and will support a development-focused tennis program aligned with Park's philosophy and standards. Compensation includes a stipend based on experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Coaching and playing experience at the high school or collegiate level.
• Ability to work with and motivate students of all skill levels.
• Punctuality at practices and matches.
• Consistent attendance at practices and matches.
• Understanding of developmental program principles.
• Willingness to support the program's vision and goals.

Responsibilities

• Support school policies on sportsmanship, integrity, accountability, dedication, and effort.
• Maintain the school's progressive philosophy throughout the season.
• Develop and teach programmatic systems within the tennis program.
• Collaborate with Athletic Trainer for injuries.
• Plan and manage practices.
• Travel with the team to away games.
• Travel to off-campus practices if applicable.
• Serve as mentor and role model to students.
• Attend parent-coaches preseason meetings and department orientations.
• Exhibit appropriate conduct toward officials, coaches, and players.
